Meet Ariana
Counselor

Ariana Van Anne, LPCC (She/Her)

My holistic orientation considers your mind, body, heart, and spirit—recognizing that true healing touches every part of your being. Together, we’ll find personalized tools that support your growth and help you feel more grounded, empowered, and alive.

In our work together, we’ll use tools like:

  • Parts work based on Internal Family Systems (IFS) to explore and understand different aspects of your inner world

  • Gestalt therapy, focusing on the here and now to deepen presence and awareness

  • AcuDetox, a form of ear acupuncture used in-session to promote grounding and emotional regulation

I proudly offer LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy, am experienced in working with neurodivergent clients, and welcome people from all backgrounds, identities, and life paths. You don’t have to do this alone—and you don’t have to have it all figured out before starting. This is your space to come as you are.

About Ariana

A nomad at heart, I’ve lived all over before settling in Colorado. I traveled full time in an RV for three years before moving here, and I still love to travel as much as I can. Meeting new people and learning about other cultures is one of the greatest pleasures in my life. Colorado has been sweet to me, and you can often find me hiking, camping, or paddle boarding on the weekend – I’m taking advantage of that Colorado sunshine!! But in the winter, I’m sipping tea by the fireplace and reading a good book. If you need a book rec – I’m your gal!

I operate an aura photography company called Ignite Your Aura and also do portrait and branding photography, so I’m usually bopping around Denver at events, when I’m not at Tribe. I love talking about energy and the universe and doing my own self work. I truly believe the universe is conspiring for me, and what’s meant for me will find me! I feel honored that my path led me to Tribe.

EMDR and non-traditional couples therapy

As a therapist, it’s my honor to walk alongside you through the many layers of being human. Whether you’re an individual navigating trauma or a couple looking to deepen your connection, therapy with me is a space to unmask, heal, and reconnect with your authentic self.

I specialize in couples therapy, including support for non-traditional couples such as those in polyamorous relationships, ethically non-monogamous partnerships, and other relationship structures outside the mainstream. My approach as a polyamory informed therapist centers on creating a safe, compassionate space where both partners feel heard, understood, and supported in growing together.

For individuals working through trauma, I offer EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which can help release stored emotional pain and reprocess difficult past experiences. I also integrate somatic therapy and mindfulness tools to support nervous system regulation and promote a deeper connection to the body.

Counseling with a
Polyamorous Informed Therapist

Relationships come in many forms, and there is no single “right” way to love or connect. For those in consensual non-monogamous, non-traditional, or polyamorous relationships, finding a therapist who understands and respects your relationship structure is essential. A polyamorous informed therapist can provide a safe and affirming space to explore your needs, strengthen communication, and navigate the unique dynamics that come with multiple partnerships.

What Does Polyamorous Informed Mean?

A polyamorous informed therapist has both the training and the lived understanding to work with individuals and partners in non-monogamous relationships without judgment or bias. This means your therapist is aware of the diversity within the polyamorous community, understands common challenges, and avoids trying to “fit” your relationship into a traditional monogamous framework.

Being polyamorous informed is more than just accepting your identity—it is about actively honoring it. This includes:

  • Understanding terminology, agreements, and boundaries common in polyamory

  • Recognizing the differences between healthy non-monogamy and unhealthy relational dynamics

  • Supporting you in navigating relationship changes, jealousy, time management, and emotional needs

  • Offering tools that strengthen communication and trust in multiple relationship contexts

A Space Free from Judgment

For many people in polyamorous or non-traditional relationships, past experiences with therapy have been invalidating. A therapist without knowledge of polyamory may assume the relationship style is the problem rather than focusing on the real issues you want to address.

Working with a polyamorous informed therapist means you can discuss your relationships openly without having to educate your therapist or defend your lifestyle. This creates more room to focus on what truly matters—your emotional well-being and the health of your relationships.

We offer counseling for:

  • Individuals exploring or currently in non-monogamous relationships

  • Couples adjusting to opening their relationship or redefining agreements

  • Polycules seeking support in strengthening communication and connection across the group

Whether you are working through a specific challenge or simply want to enhance your relationships, therapy can help you gain clarity, improve connection, and support your overall emotional health.

  • Conflict Resolution – Navigating disagreements when multiple partners or relationship configurations are involved.

  • Life Transitions – Integrating new partners, moving in together, co-parenting, or adjusting to relationship endings.

  • Self-Exploration – Understanding your own attachment style, relational needs, and personal boundaries.

Being polyamorous informed is more than just accepting your identity, it is about actively honoring it. This includes:
