FAQ's

We are not a Medicaid provider. We suggest going to the Psychology Today Therapist Finder tool to search for an in-network Medicaid therapist.

While many of our providers are in network with Cigna and United. Some providers are also in network with Aetna and Kaiser. If your therapist is not in network with your insurance, you may have out of network benefits that you can use to be reimbursed. To find out if you have out of network benefits, call your insurance company and ask if they provide reimbursement for out of network outpatient counseling.

We offer a free 15 minute consultation call, which is your opportunity to ask questions- about cost, insurance, how therapy works, and to make sure the therapist feels like a good fit for you. If you decide that the therapist isn’t the right fit, or you need something different, it’s okay! You aren’t obligated to move forward.

Under the federal No Surprises Act law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have certain types of health care coverage or who are not using certain types of health care coverage an estimate of their bill for health care items and services before those items or services are provided.

When you arrive at the Arvada office, take an immediate right in the parking lot and park near the Bada Bing Grill. You will see many “reserved” parking signs. These signs represent certain hours that are reserved. You are able to park there.

The entrance is right behind the restaurant.

There is a large parking lot with many options to park for free on either side of the building.

At Tribe Mind Body Wellness, we are a values-based practice. That means how we show up matters just as much as the care we provide. We deeply care about our clients and about one another as a team, and that care shows in the way we listen, collaborate, and support each person who walks through our doors. We believe high-quality care happens when therapists feel supported and aligned with shared values. Our goal is to create a space where people feel safe, seen, and genuinely cared for, because that is where meaningful healing begins.

Anxiety can show up in many different ways for children and teens. While it is normal for kids to feel nervous or worried at times, ongoing anxiety may begin to affect their mood, behavior, sleep, or ability to participate in everyday activities.

One common sign of anxiety is frequent worry or fear. Your child may seem constantly concerned about school, friendships, making mistakes, or things that might go wrong. They may ask for reassurance often or have a hard time letting go of worries.

Anxiety can also appear through physical symptoms. Some children complain of stomachaches, headaches, nausea, or feeling shaky, especially before school or social situations. These physical symptoms are very real and are often connected to how the body responds to stress.

You may also notice changes in behavior. Children experiencing anxiety may avoid certain situations, such as school, activities, or social events. They may become more irritable, tearful, or easily overwhelmed. Some children appear restless or have trouble concentrating, while others may withdraw or become quieter than usual.

Sleep can also be affected. Your child may have difficulty falling asleep, frequent nightmares, or trouble sleeping alone.

Sometimes anxiety shows up as perfectionism or fear of making mistakes. A child may become very hard on themselves or feel distressed if things do not go exactly as planned.

If these patterns continue over time or begin interfering with your child’s daily life, it may be helpful to seek support. Therapy can give children and teens a safe space to talk about their worries while learning tools to manage anxious thoughts and calm their nervous system. Parents are also often included in the process so they can learn ways to support their child at home.

Starting a conversation with your teen about therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you are not sure how they will respond. One helpful approach is to begin from a place of curiosity and care rather than pressure. Let your teen know you have noticed that things may have been difficult for them and that you want to support them.

You might start by saying something simple like, “I’ve noticed you’ve seemed really stressed lately and I care about how you’re feeling.” This can open the door for conversation without making your teen feel judged or blamed.

It can also help to explain that therapy is simply a place to talk with someone who is trained to listen and help people work through challenges. Many teens worry that therapy means something is “wrong” with them, so reassuring them that lots of people go to therapy for support with stress, anxiety, relationships, or life changes can reduce some of that stigma.

You can also share that therapy gives them a trusted adult to talk to who isn’t emotionally involved in their day-to-day life. Sometimes teens find it easier to open up to someone who isn’t their parent because that person is not part of the situation and can offer a neutral perspective. This does not replace the parent-child relationship. Instead, it creates another supportive space where your teen can talk freely.

Give your teen space to share their thoughts and feelings about the idea. They may have questions, concerns, or hesitation. Listening openly and validating their feelings can make them feel more involved in the decision.

Some parents find it helpful to emphasize that therapy is their teen’s space. The therapist’s role is to support the teen and help them feel understood, not to judge or take sides.

If your teen is open to it, you can also involve them in choosing a therapist or learning about what a first session might look like. Feeling included in the process can help teens feel more comfortable and more willing to give therapy a try.

Even if your teen is unsure at first, keeping the conversation supportive and ongoing can help them feel that therapy is a safe option if they decide they are ready.

Good Faith Estimate

Effective January 1, 2022, a ruling went into effect called the “No Surprises Act,” which requires mental health practitioners to provide a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) about out-of-network care to any patient who is uninsured or who is insured but does not plan to use their insurance benefits to pay for health care items and/ or services.

The Good Faith Estimate works to show the cost of items and services that are reasonably expected for your mental health care needs for an item or service.  The estimate is based on information known when the estimate was created.  The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment.

You are entitled to receive this “Good Faith Estimate” of the charges for psychotherapy services provided to you. While a psychotherapist can’t know, in advance, how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person upon the initiation of psychotherapy, this form provides an estimate of the cost of services provided. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of psychotherapy sessions you attend, your circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you. This estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services from the provider(s) listed, nor does it include any services rendered to you not identified here.

Note: A Good Faith Estimate is for your awareness only. It does NOT involve you needing to make any type of commitment to the length or frequency of therapy sessions.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or special circumstances occur.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
  • The fees for each provider at Tribe are listed on their About page.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at 303-894-7490 or 1-800-930-3745.
